ToDo Attachments
Attachment Types
ToDos support 4 attachment types, and depending on the type of attachment and your permissions, different functions will be available for each.
While working in the 3D Viewer, you will be able to add files (project files & uploaded files) and 2D & 3D Views and clashes.
Project files
Attached project files always point to the latest version of the file stored in the Connect Project.
Supported actions in 3D Viewer: View, Download, Remove
Uploaded files
Version support available.
Supported actions in 3D Viewer: View, Download, Remove
Views
Both 2D & 3D Views are supported as attachments.
Supported actions in 3D Viewer: View, View with original model versions, Remove
Clashes
Supported actions in 3D Viewer: View, Remove
Add Attachments
Attach Project Files
Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.
Navigate to the 3D Viewer.
For more information - please see Accessing the 3D Viewer.After you have loaded a model inside the Viewer, open the detail panel for a ToDo.
Under the Attachments section click the + button.
This opens the Add Attachment Dialog, which displays the project File Explorer.
Select the file to be attached.
Click Add attachment.
Attach Local Files
Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.
Navigate to the 3D Viewer.
For more information - please see Accessing the 3D Viewer.After you have loaded a model inside the Viewer, open the detail panel for a ToDo.
Under the Attachments section click the + button.
Click the 3rd tab in the Add Attachment Dialog.
Upload your file to be attached.
Click Add attachment.
Attach Views
Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.
Navigate to the 3D Viewer.
For more information - please see Accessing the 3D Viewer.After you have loaded a model inside the Viewer, open the detail panel for a ToDo.
Under the Attachments section click the + button.
Click the 2nd tab in the Add Attachment Dialog.
All Views that you have access to will be shown.
Select the View.
Click Add attachment.
Removing Attachments
CAUTION: Removing attachments cannot be undone.
To remove an attachment
Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.
Navigate to the 3D Viewer.
For more information - please see Accessing the 3D Viewer.After you have loaded a model inside the Viewer, open the detail panel for a ToDo.
Under the Attachments section click the X button next to the attachment you want to remove.
A confirmation dialog will open.
Click Remove.
