Topic 3D Markers
Typical use case for a Topic 3D Marker is to specify and visualize the location of the Topic in 3D when working with a Civil construction model. A Typical civil construction model might not have unique identifiers for all objects so specifying the Topic location by linking model objects to the Topic view may not be possible. If this is the case with your model, then the Topic Marker is useful: the marker points the location of the Topic by using a point with X, Y, and Z coordinates.
A Topic can have one 3D marker. A 3D marker can be used to specify the exact location of the Topic in 3D.
To add a 3D Marker to a Topic
Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.
Navigate to the 3D Viewer.
For more information - please see Accessing the 3D Viewer.Open the Topics tab.
Click on the topic you want to add the View to.
Position the model as necessary.
Under the Models section click the Add a marker button.
Click a location in 3D
A marker icon is added to the location in 3D and the X,Y,Z coordinate of the marker is displayed in the Topics panel.
