Accessing the Detail Panel
The file details and other functions can be accessed through the detail panel.
To access to file details panel
Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.
Navigate to the 3D Viewer.
For more information - please see Accessing the 3D Viewer.Once you are inside the Viewer, from the Models Tab, click on the overflow menu for the file.
Select the See details option.
The File Details Panel will open on the right of the screen.
File Details
The file detail panel will include the basic information:
File name
Edit
Details
Version
Size
Created by and time
Modified by and time
Folder path
Tags
Model position settings
Comments
Open a File’s Parent Folder in the Data Explorer
If you want to navigate to a file’s parent folder in the Data Explorer, you can do so by going to the file detail panel. The folder path will be listed. Click on the folder name to open the folder in a new tab.
To navigate to a file's parent folder
Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.
Navigate to the 3D Viewer.
For more information - please see Accessing the 3D Viewer.Once you are inside the Viewer, open the detail panel for the desired file.
Click on the last folder listed in the folder path.
The folder will open in a new tab
Rename a File
To rename a file
Open your project in Trimble Connect for Browser.
Navigate to the 3D Viewer.
For more information - please see Accessing the 3D Viewer.Once you are inside the Viewer, open the detail panel for the file you want to rename.
In the detail panel, click the Edit button shown next to the file or folder name.
The panel will change to Edit Mode.
Type in the new name.
Click the Save button.
Restrictions
In order to rename a file there are a few rule to keep in mind:
The file cannot be checked out by another user
You must have full access to the parent folder
The file cannot be the same name of a file that is already existing in the same location.
The file cannot contain a restricted character.
