Using the Data Table
What is the Data Table?
The Data Table is a tool that allows to colorize, sort, order and filter objects based on object attributes.
Use Data Table to display model properties, including the custom properties, in a grid view for reporting purposes. The Data Table allows grouping objects by different properties, configuring visible columns, seeing quantities and exporting to a spreadsheet in CSV format.
Choosing What to Display in the Table
All, Selected or Visible Objects
Selected Objects
Only the selected objects are shown in the table.
All objects
All objects are shown in the Data Table, independently of their visibility in 3d view.
Visible Objects
When the visible objects mode is selected, the data table displays data only for objects that are currently visible in the 3D space. Objects that are hidden with the hide feature in 3D, are not displayed in the data table.
Parts vs. Assemblies
You can choose to show Assemblies in the Data Table by enabling the Assembly Selection mode in the toolbar.
Selected objects + Assemblies or Parts
When in the Selected objects mode, the table shows properties of currently selected objects which can be both assemblies and individual objects.
All objects + Assembly Selection Mode Enabled
All assemblies (and their properties) are shown in the Data Table, independently of their visibility in 3d view.
All objects + Assembly Selection Mode Disabled
All parts/objects (and their properties) are shown in the Data Table, independently of their visibility in 3d view.
Search for a Property Value
Use the search function to make queries against the visible data listed in the Data Table. This is a quick and easy way to search for Rebar marks or any other property values that may be of interest to you.
The filter will search any of the object’s attributes, not just the ones used to group or sort the objects.
The filtering can be cleared by clicking the Remove button next to the filter field.
Once the filter field is cleared, all objects are grouped and sorted as prior to filtering them.
Select in 3D
To select objects in the 3D Viewer from the Data Table, first select a row and then click the Select in 3D button.
